| RECYCLING: Are
you recycling? Last year our total recycling tonnage DROPPED by 40
tons. This adds additional costs to our collection. To help
curb the increased costs of refuse pickup, please do your part by
recycling. Red collection boxes are available at the Town
Hall. If you have a question about what can be recycled and how to
prepare the items, please call the Town Clerk's Office.
CHANGE IN REFUSE/RECYCLING PICKUP:
Town of Somerset (outside of Village of Barker). The following
days for 2005 will affect the regular refuse/recycling schedule -
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Christmas. Pickup
will occur on Wednesday instead of Tuesday.
TIRE PICKUP: A town-wide (including
the Village of Barker) tire pickup will be held on Monday, April
25th ALL tires must be placed to the road no later than 7:00
AM. Limit 8 tires. Any tires suspected of being imported
will not be picked up. Truck tires on rims will not be
accepted. This service is provided for Town of Somerset and
Village of Barker residents only. |
