ARE
YOU RECYCLING?
As
I have traveled through town on garbage day, I have noticed that there
are several residences that are not recycling. If you do not have
a recycling bin, please stop by the Town Hall and we will be happy to
give you one. Did you know that last year we recycled over 100
tons of trash? That saved you over $5,000. Please do your
part and help us curb the costs of trash disposal. We pay for
every ton of garbage that is put into the back of the truck. We
pay NOTHING to have recycling disposed of, BUT IT HAS TO be placed in
the bin for the proper company to pick up the recycling. Help us
save tax dollars by recycling.
DOG
LICENSING
Due
to the increased number of rabies cases and stray dogs in New York
State, all dogs 4 months of age or older shall be licensed and
inoculated against rabies. If you have any questions, please feel
free to call me.
AUTHORIZED
PASSPORT AGENT
Passport
applications may be completed during regular business hours and will be
forwarded for processing to Boston when the application and
documentation have been thoroughly completed. The fee for a
passport for an adult is $85 and for anyone under age 16, the fee is
$70. With the growing concern of security at the Canadian border, it may
be more convenient for you to obtain a passport if you intend to cross
the border often. BOTH PARENTS consent and signatures are
required for children under the age of 14 before the application can be
processed. Please allow 6 - 8 weeks for processing, so plan ahead
if you will be traveling overseas.
REMINDER:
There is a drop box in the back door of the Town Hall. If you are
making a payment, it is advisable to use a check or money order. PLEASE
NO CASH.
