I would like to say a heartfelt “Thank You” to all who contributed
to the library during the Friends of the Barker Library annual
fundraising campaign. Our little library is growing with the help
of the generous people of our community and the surrounding communities
that we serve.
We
have new hours at the library: (See Table below)
Magnets
are available with the new hours printed on them at the Library along
with the Town and Village Halls.
We
have added a collection of music CD’s to our shelves. Everything
from Classical to Country, Jazz and Rock. All for your listening
pleasure.
HAPPENINGS:
Our Toddlers’ Story Hour is held on Monday from 10:30 – 11:30am.
A new group of Junior Friends of the Library has formed and are looking
for any 5th – 12th graders interested in helping out. The
regular Friends of the Barker Free Library meet the second Monday of the
month and are always looking for new members. For these and other
happenings at the Library just give us a call at 795-3444.
The
Barker Free Library has a lot to offer – books, large print books,
books on tape, movies, magazines, music CD’s, reference material,
Internet connection and so much more. Stop in to take a look.
If we don’t have what you’re looking for, we can get it for you from
any of the libraries in the NIOGA Library System. Once
again, thank you to all who gave and all who will continue to give to
make our library grow.
